4 highly recommended talks from #SEOplus19

SEOPLUS 2019

We are extremely fortunate to have such powerful events as the SEOPlus, organized this year by Team Platino and Webpositer. This edition took place last April and has given a lot of itself, especially due to the quality of the speakers rather than anything else.

I usually orient my content towards something more “educational”, but on this occasion, I didn’t want to miss the opportunity to recommend some of the presentations that the event left us. And it’s that events like this one are likely to be many in our country, which says a lot and good about the current health of the sector in our country, but personally, this is perhaps the one that I have gotten the most out of.

Therefore, I will comment on 4 presentations that I think are essential. Be aware that all of them have been especially good this year, there hasn’t been the classic filler. However, it’s impossible to include them all in a post, and besides, it’s unnecessary since Webpositer’s channel is uploading all of them.

In the world of SEO, there is usually a lot of redundant information, so these 4 presentations are a good addition for me. If you are at a more basic level of SEO, it’s possible that many of them will mean nothing to you.

Vicky Becerra: Optimizing for Baidu

Vicky’s presentation at SEOplus, who works for Leadtech, is especially recommended for those who have clients with plans to export to China. It focuses on the basics for optimizing a website for the Chinese search engine Baidu.

The same rules do not apply as for Google, so the entire research process they carried out to improve positions is interesting.

Marta Romera & Lola Gallent: Setting up your crawler in the cloud

I’m a big fan of Screaming Frog, the green frog is the crawler that has given me the best performance. However, the limitations are there, and they all come from your local machine. The bigger the site, the more power you need.

Both Marta and Lola, who work for Internet República, explain the process of setting up our own crawler in the cloud, without time or power limitations. Processing 3 million URLs. It’s worth watching the video.

Sergio Simarro: SEO + CRO

In this presentation, Sergio lays the foundations for both parties to find common work points and understand each other. While SEO prepares the project to respond to user needs and gain visibility in search engines, CRO focuses on improving conversion and customer loyalty.

Jose Marquez: Setting up and managing an efficient PBN

The topic of “Black Hat” was discussed openly at the event, which is appreciated since the idea is to broaden knowledge. This presentation by Jose Marquez, from Prensarank (and Cantina Marketera, Linkapres, etc.), lays the foundations for locating expired domains to set up a PBN.

The interesting thing is that he talks about costs, effort, and return, something that is usually hidden when wonders of this way of getting links are discussed.

As I said, there are many other presentations, but compiling them all is hard work. I advise you to take a look if your SEO level is already somewhat advanced. And reconsider attending SEOplus 2020, it will be worth it.
